Part-Time Driver - Council on Aging
Job Duties
The Town of Sandwich, MA has an opening for a Bus Driver in the Council on Aging Department working approximately 15 hours per week but varies to up to 19 hours per week. Job duties/requirements include the following:
- Position provides transportation service to seniors and others which is coordinated and scheduled through the COA Department. Previous experience in community social services and/or volunteering with seniors is preferred;
- Must retain a class D Massachusetts Driver’s License in good standing and must be able to lift up to 30 pounds;
- Must be able to operate an 8-passenger vehicle and must attend training conducted by the Cape Cod Regional Transit Authority (CCRTA) which will include, but not be limited to, wheelchair lift operation and vehicle securement as well as drug and alcohol awareness training;
- Must become CPR certified within 6 months of hire.
- Prior CCRTA or equivalent type training and experience are preferred, but not required. Training will be provided.
- Salary: $20.00 per hour and includes pro-rated earned vacation time.
