Sanya’k̓ula is PHSA’s Indigenous Recruitment and Employee Experience team.
We support First Nations, Métis and Inuit applicants and employees across their PHSA journey - from exploring career opportunities and navigating recruitment to finding connection, community and support once they are here.
Our team works with applicants, employees, hiring teams, leaders, Indigenous communities and employment partners to strengthen relational and culturally safe recruitment, increase Indigenous representation, create pathways into healthcare, and advance Indigenous-specific anti-racism and Indigenous Cultural Safety throughout the employee experience.
Sanya’k̓ula means “Together in Knowledge.” The name was gifted by our program Knowledge Keeper, Wedlidi Speck, and reflects the knowledge, gifts, lived experiences and relationships each member of our team brings to the work.
At the heart of it, we want Indigenous Peoples to feel welcomed, respected, supported and able to thrive at PHSA.
