Job Description
What you'll bring
You independently lead end-to-end product design from discovery through delivery, with deep expertise in artificial intelligence (AI) design, interaction systems, and product thinking.
- Hands-on experience designing AI-enabled products - copilots, agents, or conversational interfaces
- Deep expertise in interaction design, information architecture, and User Experience (UX) systems
- Fluency with AI tools for ideation, prototyping, and validation, and the ability to help others adopt them
- Strong discovery practice: choosing the right research method, synthesizing signals, and driving decisions with evidence
- Ability to influence without authority and navigate trade-offs constructively with product and engineering partners
- Degree not required for this role.
We also look for people who build trust naturally, communicate with clarity, keep the customer at the centre of what they do, and bring emotional intelligence and genuine problem-solving ability to the challenges they face.
In addition to the skills and experience specific to this role, all positions at SAP require candidates who are comfortable using AI tools - including agentic AI - in their day-to-day work, from crafting effective inputs and automating routine tasks, to evaluating AI-generated outputs for quality and driving adoption of AI practices within their teams.
What you'll build
You will own design direction for key journeys in the Customer, Loyalty & Service pod, shaping AI-first experiences across customer, loyalty and service.
- Design AI-assisted workflows and agent-based experiences, defining patterns for trust, transparency, and graceful failure
- Lead discovery and build multi-fidelity prototypes - including code-based and AI-generated - tested with customers
- Define UX direction for features and flows through user flows, journey maps, and system diagrams
- Ensure cohesive end-to-end journeys across pods, reducing fragmentation and duplication across the suite
- Partner with Product and Engineering as a trio member, contributing to roadmaps and facilitating design workshops
- Mentor designers and contribute to shared AI design patterns and UX standards across the organisation
Where you belong
You'll join a globally distributed UX team embedded in SAP's Commerce, Order Management and Loyalty portfolio, working in a tight trio with Product and Engineering. The Customer, Loyalty & Service pod connects designers, product managers, engineers, and domain experts across North America, Europe, and Israel. The team runs weekly design critiques and maintains a shared design system. This is a hybrid role at our Montreal office at Place Ville Marie, three days a week.
