We’re Hiring: Facilities Maintenance Technician
Location: Saskatoon, SK Area (Split between Greenbryre & acreage 10 minutes West of SaskTel Centre)
Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday (with occasional evening/weekend availability during peak seasons)
Are you a skilled handyperson or trades professional who thrives in a varied, hands-on environment where no two days are the same? We are looking for a reliable, versatile Facilities Maintenance Technician to keep our retail garden centre, production greenhouse, and equipment running smoothly and safely year-round!
In this role, you will split your time between our vibrant retail site in Greenbryre and our production greenhouse and equipment shop located 10 minutes west of SaskTel Centre.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine repairs, renovations, and preventative maintenance across greenhouses, operational buildings, and grounds.
- Conduct specialized structure maintenance, including greenhouse gutter cleaning, plastic roof repairs, and general building upkeep.
- Safely operate and maintain hand tools, power tools, and operational equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, structural, and general facility issues efficiently.
- Execute indoor and outdoor seasonal maintenance tasks across varying Saskatchewan weather conditions.
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work zones at both property locations.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License & Reliable Vehicle
- Background or practical experience in building maintenance, carpentry, construction, or related skilled trades.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and practical problem-solving abilities.
- Comfort working at elevated heights on ladders, lifts, and greenhouse structures.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and maintain a strong work ethic.
- Physical capability to handle heavy lifting, climbing, bending, and extended standing.
