Location: Mississauga, Ontario
We are seeking a highly experienced finance professional at the
Director level with a minimum of
10 years’ experience in pharmaceutical financial operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in
finance, accounting, SAP, and product/service costing, with a particular emphasis on
biopharmaceuticals and/or
CDMO environments. This individual will play a critical role in financial reporting, budgeting, cost analysis, and strategic decision support.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly/quarterly/annual financial close processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.
- Manage and improve cost accounting procedures, with a focus on product and service costing aligned to pharmaceutical manufacturing standards.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain annual budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Serve as a SAP subject matter expert for finance-related processes, driving system enhancements and data integrity.
- Support global finance teams in India and NJ, ensuring alignment, accuracy, and effective communication.
- Provide financial insights and support to the CMO leadership team to guide pricing, costing, and investment decisions.
- Prepare internal financial reports and dashboards that highlight key performance indicators and metrics for leadership.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and corporate financial policies.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, ideally within the pharmaceutical or CDMO industry.
- Strong knowledge of cost accounting, especially product/service costing in a manufacturing context.
- Proficient in SAP FI/CO modules, with demonstrated experience in system-driven financial processes.
- Hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and variance reporting.
- Familiarity with biological/pharmaceutical production environments and associated financial regulations.
- Demonstrated experience working with global support teams, especially in India and the U.S..
Preferred Experience
- Deep understanding of CDMO business models, pricing mechanisms, and client cost structures.
- Exposure to biopharma CMO operations, including GMP cost structures and tech transfer financial modeling.
