Purpose
Leads and oversees the Statutory Reporting for the Global Bank, as well as Canadian subsidiaries ensuring reported financial results are executed/delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. The Head, Statutory Reporting is responsible for establishing and leading the Bank's global statutory reporting strategy, legal entity accounting framework, and corporate accounting governance model. The role ensures compliance across all jurisdictions while driving modernization, simplification, and optimization of statutory reporting and corporate accounting activities. As a senior finance leader, this role acts as a key advisor to executive leadership on legal entity governance, regulatory compliance, finance transformation, and legal entity reporting risk.

- Leads and drives a customer focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
Statutory Reporting Leadership
- Establish and oversee the global statutory reporting strategy and governance framework.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of statutory financial statements for All Bank reporting, as well as Canadian subsidiaries.
- Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of consolidated financial statements and external disclosures.
- Provide oversight and challenge on significant accounting treatments and judgments.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Manage compliance with legal, tax, corporate, and financial reporting requirements.
Financial Reporting Oversight
- Provide executive oversight of legal entity accounting activities.
- Ensure consistency in accounting treatment and reporting methodologies.
- Direct resolution of complex legal entity accounting matters.
Enterprise Legal Entity Oversight
- Maintain governance over the All-Bank financial results and reporting obligations.
- Support strategic initiatives involving legal entity restructuring, acquisitions, divestitures, and corporate reorganizations.
- Lead financial implications assessments related to legal entity changes.
Finance Optimization & Transformation
- Sponsor enterprise-wide reporting modernization initiatives.
- Drive operational excellence through automation, robotics, AI, and process redesign.
- Establish target operating models across statutory and corporate accounting functions.
Audit Leadership
- Lead executive engagement with auditors regarding statutory and legal entity reporting matters, providing support as required to various regulatory reporting teams.
- Ensure successful outcomes for external audits and compliance reviews.
- Oversee remediation of material findings and control deficiencies.
- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- CPA designation required.
- MBA or Master's degree considered an asset.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in statutory reporting, corporate accounting, legal entity reporting, or controllership.
- Experience managing reporting across multiple legal entities.
- Experience leading finance optimization and transformation programs.
- Strong executive stakeholder management across Finance, Legal, Tax, and Treasury.
- Deep knowledge of statutory reporting, legal entity accounting, and IFRS.
- Strong understanding of regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and financial controls.
- Expertise in finance transformation, operating model design, and process optimization.
