Role Description The Information Technology Specialist is a full-time, hybrid role based in Kelowna, BC, with flexibility for some work from home. This role is responsible for maintaining and supporting client IT infrastructure, including network devices, servers, workstations, and cloud services. Daily tasks include monitoring system performance, diagnosing and troubleshooting technical issues, implementing security best practices, and performing routine maintenance and updates. The specialist will respond to service requests, provide remote and on-site technical support, and document solutions and configurations. Collaboration with internal teams and clients to plan upgrades, optimize systems, and ensure reliable, secure operations is a key component of this position.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Network Administration and Network Security.
- Candidates should possess solid Information Technology knowledge and Troubleshooting skills.
- Candidates should possess effective Customer Service skills and client-facing communication abilities.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or equivalent are beneficial.
- Experience with Windows and/or Linux environments, virtualization, and cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure) is an asset.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
