Summary:
Working within the SecureOps PMO and under the Sr. Project Manager, the IT Project Manager is responsible for tracking both internal and client-facing projects at SecureOps.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Define and manage project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with team members and enterprise senior management and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with technical teams to define and document project scope, estimates, and effort.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Manage Project resource schedules and coordinate realistic project delivery timelines.
- Assess, document, and manage project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manage project scope and communicate scope creep to SecureOps leadership.
- Ensure project time tracking is accurately updated.
- Create weekly project status reports, including time spent and invoicing.
- Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
- Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.
- Track project milestones and deliverables.
- Coordinate with Client Side Project Management resources to ensure alignment of goals and expectations.
- Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project teams.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Coach, mentor, motivate, and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Required Skills and Education:
- 1-3 years’ experience managing IT projects
- Experience using Project Management software/tools
- PMP Certification (or similar) is an asset
- Proven ability to work with multiple projects simultaneously
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken, due to regular interactions with clients and partners outside Quebec and the nature of the company's international responsibilities.
