Role OverviewSengira is seeking a motivated individual with a background in science, health sciences, business, commerce, life sciences, or a related field to support healthcare operations, client and caregiver engagement, product development, digital marketing, market research, community outreach, and business development.
Working closely with Sengira’s leadership, technology, and healthcare teams, the Associate will support the operational activities behind Sengira’s platform and services. This includes coordinating client and caregiver communications, gathering and analyzing feedback, supporting digital health resources, contributing to product and platform improvements, managing operational projects, and identifying opportunities to improve the client experience.
The Associate will also contribute to Sengira’s marketing, educational resources, community engagement, partnership development, and growth initiatives. This role is well suited to an individual interested in gaining multidisciplinary experience at the intersection of healthcare, technology, business, and innovation.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Project Coordination- Healthcare Operations: Support the back-end operations of Sengira’s website and digital platform, including client workflows, documentation, follow-up activities, digital resources, and other operational activities required to support effective service delivery.
- Project Coordination: Coordinate projects and operational initiatives by tracking timelines, deliverables, action items, and follow-up requirements while collaborating with relevant team members.
- Process Improvement: Identify workflow, usability, efficiency, and client-experience opportunities and contribute recommendations to improve Sengira’s operations, services, and internal processes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Sengira’s leadership, technology, healthcare, marketing, and business teams to incorporate client and caregiver perspectives into product development, operations, marketing, and organizational strategy.
- Data & Insights: Collect, organize, and synthesize operational and client information to identify trends, generate actionable insights, and support data-informed recommendations.
Client & Caregiver Engagement- Client Follow-Up & Feedback: Coordinate follow-up through phone calls, emails, secure messages, surveys, virtual check-ins, and in-person conversations. Collect and document client and caregiver feedback and translate insights into recommendations for improving Sengira’s services, platform, and overall client experience.
- Client & Caregiver Communication: Serve as a point of contact for appropriate non-clinical client and caregiver inquiries, provide information regarding Sengira’s products and services, and facilitate escalation to the appropriate healthcare professional or team member when clinical assessment or guidance is required.
- Client Experience: Support ongoing client and caregiver engagement to understand changing needs, experiences, concerns, and opportunities for service improvement.
- Client Success: Support onboarding, follow-up, engagement, and retention activities to ensure clients and caregivers receive responsive and professional support throughout their experience with Sengira.
- Escalation Coordination: Document client and caregiver concerns and facilitate timely escalation to the appropriate healthcare professional or service when clinical or safety-related concerns arise.
Marketing & Communications- Digital Marketing & Content Development: Develop, review, and optimize healthcare-focused marketing and educational materials, including Sengira’s brochure, website content, presentations, educational resources, promotional materials, and marketing campaigns.
- Social Media & Digital Engagement: Support Sengira’s presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and other social media platforms by developing content, identifying relevant healthcare and technology topics, promoting company initiatives and events, and engaging healthcare and caregiver audiences.
- Marketing & Growth Opportunities: Research and identify marketing, promotional, partnership, sponsorship, community engagement, and outreach opportunities that can increase Sengira’s visibility and connect the organization with potential clients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, community organizations, and strategic partners.
- Market Research: Conduct market and competitive research to identify industry trends, emerging technologies, target audiences, market opportunities, and potential growth strategies.
- Marketing Analytics: Support the tracking and evaluation of marketing and engagement activities to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.
Product & Platform Operations- Product & Platform Optimization: Contribute client, caregiver, market, and operational insights to the continuous improvement of Sengira’s digital health platform, including client and caregiver workflows, reminder features, cognitive activities, educational resources, and other support tools.
- Cognitive & Educational Resources: Research and support the development of appropriate cognitive exercises, activities, and educational resources available through Sengira’s platform. Use credible research and client feedback to identify resources relevant to cognitive stimulation, engagement, and healthy aging.
- Care Shop Management: Support the management and ongoing development of Sengira’s Care Shop, including researching potential products and resources, assessing their relevance to client and caregiver needs, maintaining accurate product information, and identifying opportunities to improve the Care Shop experience.
- User Feedback & Product Insights: Gather and synthesize client and caregiver feedback to identify usability challenges, unmet needs, and opportunities for product and service enhancement.
- Community Engagement & Educational Content: Contribute to Sengira’s community engagement blog and educational resources by researching credible articles, research findings, health information, books, tools, and educational resources relevant to the populations Sengira serves. Translate findings into accessible and engaging content for clients, caregivers, families, and the broader community.
Business Development & Community Outreach- Funding & Grant Applications: Identify relevant grants, funding programs, competitions, accelerators, and other funding opportunities for Sengira. Assist with researching eligibility requirements, gathering supporting information, and developing funding applications, proposals, and supporting materials.
- Partnership & Business Development: Research prospective healthcare, community, technology, and industry partners and support outreach, relationship development, partnership materials, and follow-up activities.
- Community Outreach & Industry Engagement: Represent Sengira at healthcare conferences, workshops, networking events, community care events, and industry opportunities to promote Sengira’s services, build stakeholder relationships, engage potential clients and caregivers, and identify partnership and growth opportunities.
- Research & Environmental Scanning: Conduct targeted research and environmental scans on aging and caregiver needs, healthcare trends, digital health innovations, competitors, market opportunities, and relevant healthcare standards to inform product, marketing, operational, and business decisions.
- Strategic Initiatives: Support emerging business development, growth, partnership, marketing, and operational initiatives as Sengira continues to scale.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or current enrolment in an undergraduate or graduate program in business, commerce, science, health sciences, life sciences, healthcare administration, marketing, or a related field.
- Strong research, analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Interest in digital health, healthcare technology, marketing, business development, entrepreneurship, healthy aging, or healthcare innovation.
- Ability to communicate professionally with clients, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, work independently, and take initiative in a startup environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; experience with project management, CRM, analytics, automation, or AI tools is an asset.
- Experience in healthcare, market research, digital marketing, business development, project management, or data analysis is an asset.
Time CommitmentTBD with flexibility based on client and organizational needs. Given the limited weekly commitment, we'll prioritize responsibilities based on current client, operational, marketing, product, and business needs.
The Associate may also participate in occasional conferences, workshops, community events, networking opportunities, or other in-person activities based on availability.
