Company Description Setpoint is an energy-focused Build Automation System (BAS) provider based in Vaughan, Ontario. We specialize in the design, implementation and service of BAS systems. From new installations, retrofits and preventive maintenance, Setpoint is a full-service BAS provider for our customers all across the GTA and surrounding areas.
As a rapidly growing team of over 50 passionate BAS professionals, we are looking for a BAS Service Technician to join our team.
Role Description The BAS Service Technician is a full-time, on-site role that will require travel across the GTA. The BAS Service Technician will be responsible for responding to customer service calls to assist in the troubleshooting of BAS and HVAC systems. In addition to on-demand service calls, our service technicians will also be responsible for conducting preventive maintenance visits on a recurring schedule. Other responsibilities include, but aren't limited to:
- Represent Setpoint professionally as the frontline contact for our customers
- Diagnose and repair BAS hardware and software faults through on-site and remote service calls
- Read, understand and diagnose issues with sequence of operations and BAS programming
- Assist with commissioning of new BAS installations and retrofits
- Participate in ongoing BAS technical training sessions
- Complete detailed service reports to be shared with the customer
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on field experience
- Strong Analytical Skills to diagnose BAS issues, interpret system data, and optimize performance
- Experience with Building Automation Systems, HVAC controls, and low-voltage electrical work
- Comfort with remote diagnostics and basic network troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Reliable Controls or similar BAS platforms is an asset
- Experience with RTUs, FCUs, AHUs, or hydronic systems is an asset
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical, and control drawings.
- Valid Ontario G driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Greater Toronto and surrounding regions for on-site service.
