SASS is seeking an Instructional Design Coordinator to adapt and build upon existing course content for our Trauma-Informed Justice program. Working with the Provincial Coordinator and subject matter experts, you'll apply instructional design and adult learning principles to turn complex information into effective online and in-person training experiences.
How to Apply:
E-mail your resume and cover letter to Ali Scott at ali@sassk.ca before 9:00AM (CST) on Monday, October 19, 2026. Please include "Application - Instructional Design Coordinator" in the subject line.
*Please note: applications submitted via LinkedIn will not be reviewed. Applications must be sent by e-mail
Who You Are:
You understand how adults learn and how thoughtful design can make the difference between information that is simply delivered, and learning that is understood, retained, and applied in practice. You know how to turn complex information into clear, engaging, and accessible learning experiences that encourage people to think critically, connect the learning to their own work, and make meaningful changes.
This position is well-suited to candidates with experience in instructional design, adult learning, education, curriculum development, talent development, or related fields. Strong instructional design skills and understanding of principles of andragogy are our priority; knowledge or experience related to gender-based violence or the justice system would be an asset but is not required.
What You'll Do:
- Instructional Design: Assess needs and define learning objectives, then develop and adapt curriculum, learning activities, assessments, and supporting materials accordingly.
- Online Learning: Translate content into engaging, accessible online learning experiences, and build and maintain courses in the Learning Management System (LMS).
- Learning Materials & Delivery Support: Develop and adapt participant resources, facilitator materials, etc. to support different audiences and modalities.
- Evaluation & Continuous Improvement: Gather and use participation data and assessment results to evaluate learning experiences and inform program improvements.
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
- A strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theory.
- Experience designing and developing curriculum, training, educational resources, or other learning materials.
- Experience developing online learning and/or working with a Learning Management System (LMS).
- The ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging, accessible, and inclusive learning experiences.
- A foundational understanding of gender-based violence (GBV), with the willingness to develop a deeper, program-specific knowledge.
- Strong organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $62,000-$66,950, based on qualifications and experience
- Benefits: Immediate coverage with no waiting period on Life Insurance, Extended Health, Dental, and Employee Assistance Program.
Working Conditions:
- Location: Regina, SK (in-person, with occasional opportunity to work remotely)
- Reports to: Director of Research & Public Policy
- Employment Status: Full-time, fixed-term (to March 31, 2027)
- Work Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
- Travel: Not required

Accessibility & Accommodations
Living our commitment to diversity and inclusion starts with how we hire. We want to make sure that this process is as accessible as possible, so if there is a barrier in the way of you applying or interviewing, please contact Ali Scott at ali@sassk.ca or 306-721-2004 to discuss.
A Note on Criminal Record Checks
Please be aware that the successful candidate will be required to provide a criminal record check for this role; however, we recognize the systemic realities of over-policing and the criminalization of certain identities more than others. As a result, the presence of a criminal record will not automatically disqualify you as a candidate. We'll conduct an individualized assessment, considering factors like relevance, context, and time elapsed.
