We are seeking a warm, experienced, and highly reliable Childcare Provider to provide childcare for team members’ children in a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. This role is based at Shambhala HQ and involves supervising and caring for children on-site while their parents are working. The ideal candidate has hands-on childcare experience, is creative and calm under pressure, and can foster a fun and positive space that allows both kids and parents to thrive.
Work Schedule: This part-time position will work approximately 2 days per week, typically Tuesday & Thursday, but flexibility is an asset.
Work Location: This position will work primarily at our office in Nelson, BC.
Responsibilities Include:
Supervise and care for children in an office-based setting.
Plan and lead safe, age-appropriate activities
Communicate openly and professionally with parents and maintain daily feedback.
Assist with basic needs, including diapering, toileting, feeding, and nap time as required.
Maintain a tidy, organized, and safe play and rest area.
Prioritize the safety, well-being, and happiness of all children at all times.
Follow all health, safety, and emergency protocols as required by the company.
Other duties as assigned related to childcare support.
Qualifications Include:
Minimum 2 years’ experience in childcare, nannying, or early childhood education.
Current CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before start).
Background check (if required).
Early Childcare Educator (ECE) certification or equivalent is an asset, but not required.
Experience working with multiple age groups (infant to school-age children) is preferred.
Warm, nurturing, and genuinely loves working with children.
Highly responsible and reliable.
Creative and proactive with a positive attitude.
Strong communication skills, with a collaborative and flexible mindset.
Calm, patient, and adaptable to changing needs and situations.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to foster a safe, fun, and supportive environment.

Pay Rate:
