Role Description The Receptionist is a part time, on-site role based at Sherbatov Gyms in Laval, QC, Mile End or West Island. In this position, the Receptionist greets members and visitors, answers inquiries in person and by phone, and provides information about gym services, schedules, and policies. Daily responsibilities include managing check-ins, processing memberships and payments, scheduling appointments or classes, and maintaining an organized front desk and reception area. The Receptionist also handles basic clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence, while supporting other team members with administrative needs. This role requires consistent, professional interaction with members and guests to ensure a friendly and efficient experience.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service skills, including the ability to assist members and visitors courteously and professionally.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly.
- Proficient phone etiquette and experience handling incoming calls, messages, and inquiries.
- Knowledge of receptionist duties, such as greeting visitors, managing check-ins, and coordinating appointments.
- Clerical skills including basic computer use, data entry, filing, and handling simple administrative tasks.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and strong organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work on-site full time, including possible evenings or weekends as needed.
- Previous experience in a reception, front desk, or customer-facing role; experience in fitness or hospitality environments is an asset.
