Role Description The Assistant Front Store Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Leduc, AB, supporting the overall operations and customer experience in the front store. This role assists in supervising daily store activities, including merchandising, inventory management, product placement, and ensuring shelves are well-stocked and visually appealing. The Assistant Front Store Manager helps lead and coach front store team members, supports scheduling, and promotes adherence to company policies, health and safety standards, and loss prevention practices. The role is responsible for helping to resolve customer inquiries, supporting promotional activities, and maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. The Assistant Front Store Manager works closely with the Front Store Manager and pharmacy team to support sales, service excellence, and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Retail operations skills, including merchandising, inventory handling, cash management, and basic point-of-sale systems.
- Leadership and people-management abilities, such as coaching team members, supporting performance, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Customer service and communication skills, including the ability to handle inquiries, resolve concerns, and build positive customer relationships.
- Organizational and time-management skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain store standards during busy periods.
- Basic numeracy and problem-solving skills to support daily store operations and decision-making.
- Ability to stand, move, and lift light to moderate loads as part of regular store duties.
- Previous retail or supervisory experience in a customer-facing environment is an asset.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in business, retail management, or a related field is considered an advantage.
