SkatingHour is looking for enthusiastic and responsible *Volunteer Skating Assistants* to support our Learn-to-Skate programs for children, teens, and adults.
This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy skating, working with children, gaining coaching experience, or completing volunteer/community service hours.
## Responsibilities
- Assist skating coaches during group lessons.
- Help participants with basic skating exercises and activities.
- Support young beginner skaters who may need additional assistance.
- Help organize cones and other training equipment before and after classes.
- Assist with keeping groups organized and ensuring participants follow safety instructions.
- Encourage students and help create a positive and welcoming environment.
- Follow instructions provided by the Head Coach or Program Coordinator.
## Requirements
- Basic ice-skating ability is preferred.
- Comfortable working with children and beginner skaters.
- Friendly, patient, responsible, and punctual.
- Able to follow coaching and safety instructions.
- Available for weekday evenings and/or weekends.
- Previous coaching or volunteering experience is an asset but *not required*.
