The Opportunity
Laredo Law Professional Corporation is a highly regarded boutique firm specializing in Estate Planning and Estate Administration. As we enter an exciting period of growth, we’re looking for an experienced Wills & Estates Senior Law Clerk who wants to become an important part of the firm and build a long-term career with us.
This is an opportunity for an accomplished clerk who enjoys meaningful responsibility, takes pride in excellent work and wants the opportunity to grow professionally as the practice expands.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Estate Planning - drafting Wills, Trusts and Powers of Attorney; attending client meetings; managing execution and returning original documents to clients
- Estate Administration - preparing Estate Trustee applications, Estate accounts and Estate Information Returns; corresponding with financial institutions, CRA and beneficiaries
- Client & Office Support - serving as a first point of contact for clients, managing files and deadlines, and supporting practice management in PracticePanther
You’ll have meaningful responsibility for your files - anticipating next steps, solving problems and keeping matters moving while knowing when lawyer input is required.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of hands-on experience as a Wills & Estates Law Clerk
- Strong working knowledge of Wills, Estates and Trust Law
- Demonstrated experience independently managing estate planning and administration files from opening through completion
- Exemplary time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively and manage multiple files and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and consistently high-quality work
- Sound judgment, initiative and a positive, solutions-oriented approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a professional, empathetic approach with clients
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook and practice management software; PracticePanther experience is an asset

Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range of $80,000–$88,000, commensurate with experience
- Benefits eligibility after three months of employment
- Full-time, in-person position in Midtown Toronto
