Executive Business Partner to the CEO
Snaplii · Etobicoke (Toronto), ON · On-site · Full-time
About Snaplii
Snaplii is a profitable Toronto fintech with 400,000+ users and 500+ brand partners, including Walmart, Costco, DoorDash and Uber. We run one of Canada's most-used payment and rewards wallets, and we are building the payment layer that AI agents use to buy things. Toronto is home; Silicon Valley is our second room.
The role
This is a chief-of-staff track seat next to our founder and CEO, Spencer Xu. From week one you sit in his investor, partner and founder meetings, in Toronto and on trips to Silicon Valley. You prepare those meetings, own the analysis behind the decisions he makes that month, and follow through on what he commits to. The people across the table are investors, founders and senior executives.
What you'll do
- Shadow the CEO in strategy sessions and executive decision-making. In your first 90 days most of your time is spent observing and learning the business logic of fintech from the inside.
- Prepare and follow up on meetings with founders, investors and partners: agendas, briefing notes, numbers, next steps.
- Own the scheduling and logistics around the CEO's calendar and travel, including Silicon Valley trips, with the precision the seat demands.
- Run the analysis behind decisions: market and competitor reads, financial models, investor materials.
- Take ownership of the projects the CEO hands you and grow into running them yourself. Our fastest promotion on record is three times in a single year.
What we look for
- Near-native fluency in English and Mandarin, spoken and written. The CEO works every day with English- and Mandarin-speaking founders, investors and partners, so both languages are required, and we verify both in the first phone screen.
- Early career welcome: recent graduates or 0 to 2 years of experience, any major. What you have actually done counts more than your degree: a part-time job you held, a club you ran, a project you shipped, a business you started.
- Relentless execution on the small things, sharp analytical thinking, and the EQ to talk with senior executives as a peer.
- Real curiosity about payments and AI.
- Able to work on-site in Etobicoke, Monday to Friday.
Compensation and support
- Compensation: CAD $40,000 to $50,000 base salary to start. Total compensation (base plus bonus) typically reaches CAD $80,000 after the first year.
- Immigration support: Snaplii provides LMIA and PNP employer sponsorship for team members who qualify.
- Interview: our founder's interview focuses on your future, not your past. Before you apply, search "Spencer Xu Harvard speech" and watch it. If you can bring one real insight into his strategy to the interview, you are already halfway there.
