About the Role
The OnâCall Receptionist plays a key frontâline role in supporting the daily operations of the organization. Reporting to the Office Coordinator, this position provides reception services and administrative support across multiple locations, ensuring a welcoming, organized, and secure office environment. The role is ideal for a dependable, serviceâoriented professional who is adaptable, detailâoriented, and comfortable supporting staff, leadership, and community members as needed.

What You’ll Do (Highlights)
- Serve as the first point of contact by welcoming visitors, answering phones, and directing inquiries appropriately
- Maintain reception coverage and security awareness, including visitor sign‑in processes
- Provide administrative support to department heads and managers as directed
- Keep offices, meeting rooms, and shared spaces clean, organized, and professional
- Manage office supply inventories and ensure equipment and postage resources are available
- Support internal communications, including maintaining staff contact lists and assisting with newsletters
- Assist with health and safety measures and other operational needs
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support organizational effectiveness
What You Bring
- Completion of Grade 12; post‑secondary education in administration or a related field is an asset
- 3–5 years of experience in an administrative or reception role preferred
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Publisher
- Excellent communication skills with a professional, welcoming manner
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and work independently
- High standards of confidentiality, integrity, and professionalism
- Ability to work effectively across departments, locations, and diverse cultural settings
- Flexibility to work on an on‑call basis and additional hours when required
