The Opportunity
We're seeking a dynamic, highly organized, and proactive leader to join our team as Manager, Strategic Operations & Administration.
This is a unique role that blends operational leadership with strategic project management. You'll oversee administrative operations and staff while serving as a key partner to the CEO and leadership team in advancing organizational priorities, coordinating agency-wide initiatives, and ensuring plans are translated into meaningful action.
You'll be at the centre of many of the activities that keep our organization moving forward, from supporting governance processes and leadership development initiatives to coordinating strategic projects, accreditation activities, and organizational planning efforts.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, sees opportunities for improvement, and loves helping teams stay focused, organized, and accountable. You'll work across departments, collaborate with leaders at all levels, and play a critical role in strengthening organizational effectiveness and supporting SOAR's continued growth and impact.
What You’ll Do
Lead Administrative Operations
- Supervise and support administrative staff across the organization
- Oversee administrative systems, workflows, and office operations
- Support the CEO and Senior Leadership Team with key administrative and organizational processes
- Coordinate Board of Directors communications, meetings, records, and governance activities
- Manage policies, procedures, records management systems, and organizational documentation
Drive Strategic Initiatives
- Lead and coordinate strategic and operational projects aligned with organizational priorities
- Support implementation of new programs, services, and organizational initiatives
- Develop project plans, timelines, communication plans, and monitoring processes
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and organizational practices
- Facilitate collaboration among departments and stakeholders to achieve project goals
Strengthen Organizational Accountability
- Coordinate Management Team, supervisory, and leadership meetings, including agenda development, preparation of materials, meeting documentation, and action-item tracking
- Monitor progress on strategic priorities, leadership decisions, and organizational action plans
- Support implementation and reporting related to SOAR's strategic plan and key organizational initiatives
- Develop tools and processes that strengthen communication, accountability, and follow-through across the Agency
Support Organizational Excellence
- Oversee administration and evaluation of SOAR's leadership development program
- Coordinate accreditation activities and related quality improvement initiatives
- Lead planning and implementation of SOAR's Annual Impact Event
- Support staff engagement, recognition, and agency-wide planning activities
- Promote innovation, continuous improvement, and data-informed decision-making
What You Bring
- Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Public Administration, Health Administration, Project Management, Social Sciences, Human Services, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in administration, operations, project management, organizational development, quality improvement, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience leading organizational projects, process improvements, or change initiatives
- Strong project management, planning, and organizational skills
- Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and facilitation abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong attention to detail
- Experience supporting senior leaders, governance processes, committees, or Board activities is considered an asset
- Experience supporting accreditation, quality improvement, strategic planning, or organizational development initiatives is considered an asset
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, and related collaboration tools
- Access to reliable transportation
