We currently have a full time opportunity for a Portfolio Analyst, Capacity & Portfolio Performance. This role can be based out of one our main offices including: Stellarton, NS; Mississauga, ON.
As a Portfolio Analyst, Capacity & Portfolio Performance, you will support enterprise portfolio planning, capacity and resource management, portfolio performance, and data-driven decision-making across business and technology initiatives.
You will bring strong analytical and problem-solving skills together with hands-on Planview expertise, working with stakeholders, delivery teams, and application vendors to gather requirements, configure and support the platform, troubleshoot issues, and deliver reporting and data solutions.
What You’ll Do
- Administer, configure, and support Planview, including workflows, data structures, reporting, governance, and application enhancements.
- Maintain Planview data quality across capacity, demand, resource allocations, projects/programs, and portfolio performance.
- Gather business and technical requirements and translate them into application, process, data, and reporting solutions.
- Support capacity planning, resource feasibility, portfolio impact assessments, and scenario modelling.
- Analyze portfolio performance, capacity, constraints, resource utilization, and delivery trends to support governance and leadership decision-making.
- Work with internal teams and external vendors to troubleshoot issues and implement application enhancements.
- Develop and maintain custom reporting tools, Power BI dashboards, KPIs, and portfolio reporting solutions to meet evolving business needs, including data transformation, modelling, measures, and custom columns.
- Support cross-functional reporting integrations and data flows between Planview and other enterprise systems, ensuring consistent and reliable portfolio reporting across teams.
- Drive continuous improvement of Planview configuration, reporting tools, data quality, integrations, and portfolio processes by identifying opportunities for greater efficiency, automation, and improved insights.
- Create training materials, user documentation, and process guides.
Must-Have Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on Planview administration and configuration experience, including workflows, data structures, reporting, governance, and application support.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in portfolio analysis, business analysis, application support, PMO, capacity/resource management, or a related field.
- 3+ years of advanced Power BI experience, including data transformation, modelling, measures, and custom columns.
- Advanced Excel, including PivotTables and Power Query.
- SQL skills with the ability to understand, troubleshoot, and modify existing queries.
- Experience with OData APIs and application integration principles.
- Experience with requirements gathering and working in Agile, Scrum and/or Kanban environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, reporting, writing, and presentation skills.
- Experience creating training and user documentation.
