About SociAI
SociAI is a social networking platform built around AI-powered identities and agents. We're creating an environment where people can build personalized AI versions of themselves, create AI agents, and share, discover, and interact with them through a social network.
We've developed an initial working prototype and are looking for an experienced engineer to help us take the product to the next stage.
The opportunity
We're looking for a hands-on technical leader who can take ownership of our existing application, strengthen its security and architecture, complete the remaining development, and help bring SociAI to market.
Our current prototype was built using AI-assisted development tools, with Lovable and Supabase. We need someone who can assess the existing codebase, identify technical risks, and establish a reliable foundation for the platform's future development.
What you'll be working on
- Reviewing and improving the existing application, including security, database architecture, authentication, and user permissions.
- Completing the MVP and preparing it for production.
- Developing and improving LLM integrations, AI agents, and conversation management.
- Establishing reliable testing, deployment, monitoring, and development practices.
- Working directly with the founders on product development and technical strategy.
Who we're looking for
An experienced full-stack engineer with strong backend development skills, experience building production applications, and a solid understanding of application security.
Experience with React, TypeScript, Supabase/PostgreSQL, LLM APIs, and AI-assisted development tools is particularly relevant.
We're looking for someone who can make independent technical decisions, communicate clearly, and take responsibility for delivering a reliable product.
The role
We're initially open to a contract-based engagement, with the possibility of a longer-term technical leadership position as SociAI develops.
Compensation and the structure of the engagement will be discussed based on experience, availability, and the scope of work.
