About Solutello
Solutello is a Canadian growth and commerce partner helping businesses build stronger digital ecosystems and create sustainable growth.
Guided by our philosophy “Tell. Own. Grow.”, we combine strategy, technology, commerce and storytelling to help businesses strengthen their market presence and build digital assets they truly own.
Our work spans e-commerce and Shopify, omnichannel commerce, digital growth, performance marketing, content, retail technology and business strategy.
We believe growth doesn't happen only behind a screen. It happens through content, conversations, communities, events and relationships - by being present where customers, entrepreneurs and businesses are already paying attention.
The Role
We are looking for a Growth & Community Development Specialist to help expand Solutello's visibility, community and business opportunities across both digital and real-world channels.
This is not a traditional cold-calling sales position.
Your role is to discover where relevant conversations are happening, identify the people and communities we should know, create content around what Solutello sees and does, and turn that activity into relationships and potential business opportunities.
You will work closely with the founder and our team across business development, events, content creation, social media and digital presence.
For an ambitious early-career professional, this is an opportunity to develop a broad understanding of how a growing business builds its market presence - from the first piece of content or conversation through to a qualified business opportunity.
What You'll DoCommunity & Business Development
- Research and identify relevant business events, conferences, trade shows, networking opportunities, associations and industry communities.
- Identify potential customers and business opportunities through LinkedIn, social platforms, industry communities, directories and other digital channels.
- Develop relationships through thoughtful, personalized outreach and community participation rather than high-volume cold calling.
- Help identify and develop partnerships with complementary businesses, associations and industry organizations.
- Attend selected business and industry events and represent Solutello professionally.
- Coordinate event participation, including booths, sponsorship opportunities, networking activities and post-event follow-ups.
- Maintain and organize business development opportunities, contacts and follow-up activities.
Content & Social Media
- Help manage Solutello's ongoing social media presence across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook and other relevant channels.
- Research and identify relevant topics, conversations, industry developments and events that can become meaningful Solutello content.
- Create and coordinate content related to Solutello's expertise, projects, events, partnerships, industry observations and business activities.
- Capture authentic content from events, meetings, client activities and behind-the-scenes moments.
- Develop social posts, short-form videos, photos, interviews and other content formats.
- Turn real-world activities and conversations into timely digital content.
- Help maintain a consistent content calendar while remaining flexible enough to react to relevant topics and opportunities.
- Monitor engagement and identify conversations that could develop into relationships or business opportunities.
Digital Presence
- Keep selected areas of the Solutello website current with new content, events, partnerships, projects and company developments.
- Help connect the website, social media, events and other digital touchpoints into a consistent Solutello presence.
- Research new channels and communities where Solutello should establish a presence.
- Work with the team to experiment with new approaches to content, community development and digital business development.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone early in their career who is curious, social, resourceful and entrepreneurial.
Someone who sees an interesting event and thinks, “We should be there.”
Someone who hears an interesting conversation and thinks, “There's a story here.”
And someone who discovers an interesting company or person and thinks, “We should know them.”
You should:
- Be comfortable meeting and communicating with new people.
- Have a natural interest in business, entrepreneurship, marketing and digital culture.
- Understand how social media and content can build credibility and relationships.
- Be comfortable creating content using text, photos and short-form video.
- Have strong writing and communication skills.
- Enjoy researching events, businesses, communities and emerging topics.
- Be organized and capable of coordinating several initiatives simultaneously.
- Be comfortable attending events and representing Solutello professionally.
- Be proactive and willing to bring new ideas to the table.
- Be comfortable learning new digital and AI tools.
Experience with LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Canva, Shopify, CRM platforms, video editing or AI-assisted content tools is an asset.
Languages - Required
This is a multilingual role.
Candidates must be able to communicate professionally in:
Professional fluency in Spanish is a requirement for this position, not simply an asset.
What You'll Learn
This isn't a role where you'll spend your day performing one repetitive marketing task.
You'll gain hands-on exposure to:
Business Development • Content Creation • Social Media • Events • Partnerships • Digital Commerce • Community Development • Growth Strategy
You'll also work closely with experienced leadership and gain visibility into how business opportunities move from an idea or conversation into an actual commercial relationship.
The Objective
Your success won't be measured by how many cold calls you make.
It will be measured by your ability to help Solutello become more visible in the right places, part of the right conversations, connected to the right people - and ultimately create new business opportunities.
Find the conversation. Create the content. Build the relationship. Create the opportunity.
