Overview
Senior Demand Planner responsible for developing and managing SKU and brand-level forecasts across a portfolio of products. The role combines demand planning, statistical analysis, cross-functional collaboration and forecasting system management to improve forecast accuracy and support supply and commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Own SKU and brand shipment forecasts across assigned product categories.
- Lead monthly Demand Supply Reviews and contribute to business planning processes.
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, Supply Planning, Finance and Commercial teams.
- Use sales, customer and consumption data to develop and refine forecasts.
- Develop forecasts for new products, special packs and pre-packs, including cannibalisation assumptions.
- Analyse forecast performance, MAPE, bias and other demand planning metrics.
- Prepare reporting, dashboards and insights for cross-functional stakeholders.
- Lead process, reporting and forecasting system improvement initiatives.
- Support strategic and financial planning updates.
- Incorporate SKU vulnerability and inventory considerations into forecasts.
- Support slow-moving and obsolete inventory management.
- Train and mentor planners and cross-functional colleagues.
- Act as a data lead for Demand Planning functional and master data.
- Support forecasting system setup, product hierarchies, reporting and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Management Science, Mathematics, Statistics or related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in supply chain, demand planning, sales operations, category management, logistics or analytics.
- Experience in demand forecasting, ideally within FMCG/CPG.
- Advanced Excel and business reporting capabilities.
- Experience with SAP, APO or other forecasting software.
- Strong statistical, analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong problem-solving, systems thinking and continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to influence across functions and work effectively with senior stakeholders.
- Strong communication, collaboration and decision-making skills.
- Comfortable working with complexity and ambiguity.
Preferred
- MBA.
- IBF, APICS or Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
- Experience with SAP BW, SAP BI/HANA, Cognos or similar reporting platforms.
