RESPONSIBILITIES
Reporting to the Elevator Manager, the Elevator Operator is responsible for receiving and load out of grain in a safe, efficient, and traceable manner.
- Bin grain varieties and trace
- Loadout grain varieties and trace
- Safe operations in all weather conditions
- Elevator maintenance and housekeeping
- Other routine duties as assigned
- Adhere to all company food safety, quality, and health and safety policies and procedures, as well as applicable regulatory requirements, to ensure safe work practices and the production of safe, compliant products.
- Some travel between sites may be required
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in grain handling, food processing or manufacturing considered an asset.
- High degree of mechanical aptitude through apprenticeship or job related experience.
- Previous safety training an asset.
- Excellent communication and written skills.
- Ability to work alone or in a group.
- Attention to detail
- Positive attitude and self-starter
EDUCATION
- High school diploma. Preference will be given to those applicants with post-secondary education
