Role: Senior Power BI Developer
Location: Toronto, ON – Hybrid (4 days onsite)
Duration: 6 months + possible extension
Rate: $80- $85/hr (CAD)
Role Overview
Seeking a Senior Power BI Developer / Data Engineer to support a Capital Measurement Reporting Data Modernization program within the banking/financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop Power BI dashboards, reports and semantic models.
- Build advanced DAX measures and calculations.
- Perform data transformation using Power Query / M Code.
- Develop complex SQL queries and support ETL/data integration.
- Apply data modeling and processing/mapping techniques.
- Use Power Automate for reporting/workflow automation.
- Work with stakeholders to translate complex requirements into clear visualizations.
- Create documentation and support data validation/reconciliation.
- Ideal candidate: 8–11+ years of BI/Data experience, strong Power BI development background, excellent storytelling skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic and ambiguous environment.
Must-Have Skills: Power BI, Advanced DAX, Power Query/M Code, SQL, Data Modeling, ETL/Data Transformation, Report Development, Power Automate, Data Storytelling, Documentation, Stakeholder Engagement.
