Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) at Speedvale Pet Hospital, located in Guelph, ON. The RVT will support veterinarians by providing compassionate care to animals, assisting during medical procedures, administering medications, and performing diagnostic tests. The role also involves educating clients on pet care, maintaining medical records, and ensuring a safe and clean clinic environment. Additionally, the RVT will contribute to the overall efficiency of the clinic operations and collaborate with the veterinary team to deliver excellent patient care.
Qualifications
- Technical veterinary skills, including administering medications, assisting during surgical procedures, and performing diagnostic tests
- Effective client communication and strong interpersonal skills to provide guidance on pet care
- Organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate medical records and manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Knowledge of safe animal handling practices and ensuring a clean, safe clinic environment
- Completion of a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) program and valid certification
- Experience in a veterinary clinic or similar setting is a plus
