The Opportunity
The Ottawa Senators are seeking an energetic, creative and highly organized professional to join our Game Production team as Producer, Game Presentation.
Reporting to the Director, Game Production, the Producer, Game Presentation supports the planning and execution of game entertainment for Ottawa Senators home games and select Canadian Tire Centre events. The successful candidate will help deliver an engaging in-arena experience through game presentation, promotions, special events, talent and sponsorship activations, while serving as Lead Stage Manager and backup show caller for Senators home games.

Key Responsibilities
- Work with the Director, Game Production on season-long planning and the development and execution of game presentation and fan engagement initiatives
- Plan and coordinate pre-game ceremonies, theme nights, special presentations, TV timeout activities, intermission programming, contests and other in-game entertainment
- Support major game presentation moments, including Opening Night, milestone recognitions and commemorative events
- Serve as Lead Stage Manager for Ottawa Senators home games and backup show caller as required
- Coordinate assigned game presentation elements through production meetings, rehearsals and live execution, troubleshooting issues as required
- Coordinate game-night performers and special guests, including anthem singers, musicians and colour parties, along with associated administrative and event-day logistics
- Recruit, hire, train, schedule and manage the Promotions Team and coordinate select part-time game presentation staff and performers
- Develop and execute in-game contests and promotions, including contest mechanics, participants, prizes and game-day logistics
- Prepare game scripts and timing sheets and write and edit PA, host and promotional copy
- Coordinate scoreboard graphics, including creative briefs, copy, sponsor requirements, deadlines and final review
- Work with Corporate Partnerships and other internal departments to coordinate in-game features and track the execution of sponsorship deliverables
- Maintain the inventory calendar and manage Game Presentation inventory, including prizes, props, giveaways, flags and promotional materials
- Obtain vendor quotes, submit invoices and create purchase orders
- Research industry trends and work with the Director to develop new game presentation and fan engagement concepts
- Review fan feedback and participate in post-event debriefs to identify opportunities to improve the in-arena experience
- Assist with video and content production for internal Game Presentation needs
- Lead assigned non-Senators sporting and special events at Canadian Tire Centre
- Other duties as assigned by the Director, Game Production
Qualifications (what We Look For)
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum three years of relevant experience in game presentation, live events, sports, entertainment or a related field
- Strong knowledge of hockey, the NHL and the sports and entertainment industry
- Experience coordinating and executing live events and leading part-time or event staff
- Strong project management, organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including script and promotional copywriting
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external partners
- Creative, detail-oriented and solutions-focused, with the ability to adapt and make decisions in a fast-paced live event environment
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of live event production systems and workflows is considered an asset
- Experience in show calling is considered an asset
- Bilingualism in English and French is considered an asset
- Willing and available to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays, and Ottawa Senators home games, including pre-season and playoffs, as required
