Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects, inconsistencies, and quality issues.
- Knowledge of textile materials, bedding products, and garment or soft-goods manufacturing processes.
- Ability to read and follow inspection procedures, product specifications, and quality standards.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and complete accurate inspection reports.
- Basic computer skills, including email, spreadsheets, and digital reporting systems.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and handle bedding products during inspections.
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Training or coursework in textiles, quality assurance, manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
- Additional certifications in quality control or textile inspection are a plus.
Experience
- Previous experience conducting quality inspections of textiles, bedding, linens, mattresses, comforters, sheets, pillows, or related soft goods.
- Experience identifying defects such as stains, tears, holes, loose threads, incorrect stitching, color variation, sizing issues, and labeling or packaging errors.
- Familiarity with fabric construction, stitching, seams, finishes, measurements, and product specifications.
- Experience using inspection checklists, measuring tools, barcode scanners, cameras, or other inspection equipment.
- Ability to document findings clearly and prepare detailed inspection reports.
- Experience in manufacturing, quality control, product inspection, or third-party inspection services is preferred.
