St. Joseph's Health Centre of Sudbury

Join us in celebrating 75 years - from our early beginnings as an acute care hospital to our current focus on supporting adults as they age through our two-site Rehabilitative Care Hospital and three Long-Term Care Homes!

St. Joseph's Health Centre includes St. Joseph’s Villa, a 128 bed home in Sudbury, Villa St. Gabriel’s Villa, a 128 bed home in Chelmsford, and St. Joseph's Lodge, currently offering 48 beds in Gore Bay, on Manitoulin Island. (Construction is underway to build a new larger Lodge with 64 beds on Armstrong Rd. in Gore Bay, set to open fall of 2027.)

St. Joseph’s Continuing Care Centre is Northeastern Ontario's only stand-alone Rehabilitative Care Hospital with 136 beds and locations on South Bay Rd. and Lasalle Blvd. in Sudbury. Specializing in rehabilitative, supportive and complex continuing care, we help patients regain independence, restore hope, and improve their quality of life, so that they can return home.

We are a faith-based organization by our core values of dignity, excellence, service and integrity with a focus on a culture of compassionate caring. Our mission is to respond to the needs of the whole person - body, mind and spirit. From our beginning, St. Joseph's has offered chaplaincy and ethics services in its own facilities and for many North Eastern Ontario healthcare institutions.
