The St. Lawrence Parks Commission is an agency of the Ontario Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries and has become one of the largest tourism destinations in Eastern Ontario.
Over 1.7 million visitors annually are attracted to the Parks of the St. Lawrence, which extends from the Bay of Quinte on Lake Ontario in the west, along the St. Lawrence River to the Quebec border in the east. Operations include: two major historic attractions Fort Henry and Upper Canada Village, a series of 12 riverside parks and campgrounds, recreational facilities, the Long Sault Parkway, the 1000 Islands Parkway, the Waterfront Trail, Crysler Park Marina, Skywood Eco Adventure, championship Upper Canada Golf Course, Upper Canada Migratory Bird Sanctuary, and several restaurants and gift stores.
