If so, we are looking for someone like you to join our team as a Principal.
The Position
A Principal is a senior leader in our business who builds market awareness, sources, sells, and leads the delivery of transformational consulting engagements. You will contribute to and own a book of business, contributing to growth through a mix of new clients and growing existing relationships. Day-to-day, you will grow the firm and lead its most important work by:
· Building market presence and awareness through speaking, publishing, podcasts, and industry forums that bring qualified opportunities to Stack'd;
· Originating and closing new work, and deepening existing client relationships into long-term partnerships;
· Serving as a trusted advisor to executives facing high-stakes decisions about strategy, structure, and change;
· Leading engagement delivery end to end, holding a high bar for client outcomes and measurable impact;
· Shaping engagement approaches, scoping work, and setting teams up to deliver against scope, schedule, and budget;
· Hiring, developing, and retaining 'A' players, building a Stack'd team others would want to recruit from; and
· Turning what works on one engagement into simple, repeatable approaches the whole firm can use.
As a senior leader of the firm, you will also help set direction, lead strategic initiatives, and grow Stack'd beyond your individual contribution.
Core Requirements:
· Undergraduate or Masters degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Engineering, or other comparable fields.
· Seven or more years of experience, either in management consulting at a large firm or established boutique, or as a senior industry leader who has led organizational transformations.
· A demonstrated track record of selling and leading professional services engagements with C-suite clients.
· Must be legally able to work in Canada.
· A willingness to travel both domestically and internationally, including the ability to work in the United States
Desired Skills:
· Business Development – You have built and grown a book of business. Your clients know you and take your call. You know how to create market awareness, turn relationships into opportunities, and earn the follow-on work that comes from delivering real results.
· Expertise in at Least 1 of Our Disciplines – You know how to plan for and lead consulting engagements in one of our core discipline areas: strategy and execution, organizational design and transformation, operational improvement, and/or Post-Merger Integration. You live at the intersection of strategy and people.
· Leadership – You inspire others to be the best versions of themselves and create a psychologically safe environment where teams do their best work. You show up as your whole self at the leadership table.
· Team Building – You want to find, lead, develop, and retain 'A' players who work together as an 'A' team, and you measure your success by theirs.
· Customer Obsession and Empathy – You walk a mile in your clients' shoes. You understand what keeps them up at night and you care about the value your work creates, not just the deliverable.
· Systematizing – You take ambiguous, situational work and turn it into approaches that are simple, specific, and repeatable, and you have the analytical capability to build the infrastructure behind them.
· Continuous Learning – You seek feedback, want to improve yourself, our services, our firm, and our clients, and celebrate progress while looking for the next summit to climb.
