Staffinity is currently seeking a permanent, full-time Human Resources Manager for an established, rapidly growing Canadian wealth management and alternative investment firm.
This role is based in Vancouver, BC (with strong consideration for Toronto, ON for exceptionally qualified candidates). Working closely with the CEO and executive leadership, this individual will take full ownership of the HR function, building and modernizing HR infrastructure, harmonizing employment contracts across British Columbia and Ontario, and supporting a team of over 70 financial professionals nationwide.

Key Responsibilities
Cross-Provincial HR Infrastructure: Review, develop, and standardize company-wide HR policies, employee handbooks, and operational frameworks, with an immediate focus on streamlining and harmonizing employment agreements between British Columbia and Ontario jurisdictions.
Talent Acquisition & Pipeline: Lead end-to-end recruitment for corporate, investment advisory, and compliance teams, establishing scalable hiring workflows and candidate pipelines.
Total Rewards & Performance: Support annual compensation benchmarking, performance appraisal cycles, incentive compensation plans, and retention strategies aligned with industry standards.
Employee Relations & Governance: Serve as the trusted advisor for employee relations, workplace standards, compliance documentation, and progressive disciplinary actions.
Organizational Development: Partner with department heads to support succession planning, role progression, onboarding programs, and retention initiatives.
Qualifications
HR Experience: 5+ years of progressive human resources generalist/managerial experience, including full-cycle recruitment, employee relations, and policy development.
Financial Services Background: 3+ years of HR experience within financial institutions, wealth management platforms, asset managers, or multinational banking environments. Experience navigating fast-paced, matrixed, or APAC-linked institutional environments is strongly preferred.
Employment Standards Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of British Columbia and Ontario employment legislation, statutory compliance, and contractual standards.
Language Proficiency: Professional fluency in Mandarin and English (spoken and written) is required to support communication with key internal stakeholders and international business partners. Fluency in Cantonese is considered a strong asset.
Work Style: Hands-on builder mindset with the ability to operate autonomously, execute daily administration, and advise senior executives.

Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $80,000 – $120,000 per year (commensurate with depth of financial sector experience)
