Role Description The Service Advisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Edmonton, AB, responsible for coordinating service work between customers, technicians, and the service department. This role involves greeting and supporting customers, accurately identifying service needs, preparing work orders, and communicating repair recommendations and timelines. The Service Advisor maintains regular contact with customers during the service process, provides clear updates on status and costs, and ensures that all work is documented and completed to company standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include scheduling service appointments, managing aftersales follow-up, handling inquiries and concerns, and collaborating with parts and sales teams to deliver a seamless service experience. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction in a fast-paced dealership environment.
Qualifications
- Ability to deliver customer-focused service with a strong emphasis on Customer Satisfaction and Customer Service.
- Strong Communication skills to clearly explain service needs, timelines, and costs to customers and internal teams.
- Experience with Aftersales processes, including follow-up on completed work and handling post-service inquiries.
- Previous experience in an automotive or heavy truck service environment is preferred.
- Knowledge of service department operations, work order creation, and basic mechanical terminology.
- Proficiency with computer systems for scheduling, documentation, and customer communication.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team setting and manage multiple tasks in a busy, customer-facing environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or service-related training is an asset.
