The primary responsibility of a Business Development Manager is to be the technical/electronic lead in fire alarm projects for Control Panels and devices, for their territory. He or she will be in contact with a team of multidisciplinary product development electronic engineers located in Montreal and be responsible for overall electrical engineers, agents, and electrical distributor development and system integration activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- In charge of sales and marketing in western areas, managing partners and developing new potential business. Develop a growth business plan and strategy.
- Visit engineer firms and city fire marshals to exploring the branding of Standard Fire.
- Provide technical support to the clients and demonstrated experience in fire alarm sales and electrical project design.
- Comfortable navigating through various situations that need problem solving.
- Must be a creative thinker with high initiative.
- Acknowledge local code and specifications to meet customer needs.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Demonstrated technical training and mentoring skills.
- At least 10 years’ sales experience in fire alarm industry,
- Travel or On Road required is approximately 60 percent of the time.
- Great communication skills
- Home-based office located in Ontario, Canada.
