Role Description This full-time, on-site Sales Associate role is based cambridge. The Sales Associate provides personalized customer service, greeting clients, assessing their needs, and recommending formal, dress casual, and outerwear pieces that align with their style and occasion. Responsibilities include assisting with fittings, coordinating outfits, maintaining visual merchandising standards, and keeping the sales floor organized and well-stocked. The role also involves handling transactions at the point of sale, processing returns or exchanges, and meeting individual and store sales targets. Sales Associates collaborate with the team to support promotional activities, build long-term customer relationships, and uphold Stars-Strauss’ standards of service and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Customer service and sales skills, including the ability to build rapport, understand client needs, and close sales in a retail environment.
- Interest in fashion and styling, with the ability to provide fit advice, coordinate outfits, and stay informed about menswear trends.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse customers and work collaboratively with team members.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail for managing inventory on the sales floor, maintaining store presentation, and handling transactions accurately.
- Basic math and point-of-sale system skills for processing payments, discounts, and returns reliably.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move merchandise, and work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Prior experience in retail apparel or customer-facing roles is an asset; training will be provided for candidates with strong potential.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in fashion, retail, or business is considered an advantage.
