About The Role
The Welder will be responsible for creating non-pressure welds using MIG and TIG welding techniques and maintaining cleanliness of the work area. Organizing tools and materials to ensure proper assembly of the required product.
Duties and Responsibilities
- MIG/TIG production line welding.
- Read and interpret blueprints or process specifications.
- Recognize defective welds, knowing the cause, and repair procedure for the defective area or part.
- Conducting checks to guarantee assigned equipment is operating and in good working order.
- Prepare materials for welding, using magnet drill and hand grinders.
- Effectively communicate with the Quality Control Team, Shipper/Receiver, and other employees, or supervisors.
- Maintain an organized work area and ensure materials, tools, and equipment are properly stored when not in use.
- Ensure the assigned work area is clean and free from hazards.
- Adhere to health and safety protocols, including always wearing the appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Required Abilities, Knowledge, Experience - A minimum of 2 years of welding experience preferred
- Knowledge of welding techniques is a must.
- Basic computer skills and ability to navigate through Lucid System.
- Demonstrated ability to work to exact drawing and order specifications an asset.
- Ability to read and follow instruction from order on Lucid System.
- Team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail to create the highest quality level products.
- Experience using hand tools and equipment, along with experience using measuring.
