We are looking for an Intermediate Estimator to join our exciting client in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This role will play a critical role in a new manufacturing program. Responsibilities
- Interpret client-provided specifications and drawings to develop detailed scopes of work and work packages.
- Estimate required person-hours and resources to execute manufacturing and repair activities.
- Create and manage subcontractor and material RFQs or provide technical support to the Supply Chain team in their preparation.
- Draft detailed execution Method Statements based on project scopes and client requirements.
- Assist in the creation and submission of competitive Bid/Tender packages, and support multidisciplinary estimating efforts.
Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or Red Seal Journeyman certification in a relevant industrial Skilled Trade nice to have.
- 3+ years of experience as an estimator in construction, manufacturing, or heavy industry projects
- Strong proficiency with engineering, estimating, or drafting software, and a solid understanding of technical drawings and documentation.
- Experience in contract negotiation and familiarity with commercial and government contract terms and conditions.
Relocation available.
Onsite in Halifax, Nova Scotia 5 days per week
