Position Summary
Journeyperson B-Pressure Rig Welders work in both shop and field-based settings on projects that include joining components such as beams, girders, vessels, and piping. They ensure all jobs are completed according to welding procedure specifications, weld maps, and work packages. Our welders take pride in their trade and ensure Strike's high standards of safety and quality are always met.

Core Accountabilities
- Work collaboratively with Non-Destructive Testing Inspectors
- Conduct repairs, modifications, and retrofits
- Perform welding of pipe spools with an emphasis on Safety, Quality, and Production while working in accordance with client specifications and Strike's weld procedures
- Monitor parts usage and report any material issues
- Interpret Acorn drawings accurately
Qualifications
- Must possess a valid Journeyperson certificate from the appropriate provincial or federal authority
- Must possess an ABSA Grade ‘B’ Pressure Welder certificate
- Must be CWB certified
Skills, Knowledge, & Abilities
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
- Possess a valid Driver’s License
- Willingness to travel to various work sites
- Ability to interpret Acorn drawings
- Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working outdoors in various conditions
