The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced and dependable
Administrative Assistant to support our client’s Head Office team in
Delta, BC.
This is a hands-on administrative support assignment well suited to someone who enjoys organization, accuracy, routine, and being a reliable resource for others. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day administrative support while helping ensure the office operates smoothly and efficiently.
This is a
temporary assignment paying $23/hour, with
training scheduled for September 29th and coverage required on
October 1st and 2nd.

Responsibilities
- Greet customers and visitors and respond to general inquiries
- Answer and direct incoming calls and correspondence
- Process cheque deposits and apply Accounts Receivable payments in Steel Plus
- Order and maintain office and warehouse supplies
- Provide general administrative support to managers, sales representatives, and office staff
- Coordinate couriers and receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and deliveries
- Prepare and process expense reports for designated employees
- Perform general clerical duties, including filing, scanning, photocopying, data entry, and document preparation
- Maintain organized office records and filing systems
- Assist with other administrative duties as required
Requirements
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience working in an administrative or receptionist role
- Post-secondary education is preferred
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work collaboratively within an office environment
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Previous experience answering and directing incoming calls
- Comfortable coordinating couriers, deliveries, and general office administration
