Role Description The Administrative and Reception Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Morinville, AB. This position supports daily front-desk operations, including greeting visitors, answering and directing phone calls, and responding to general inquiries in a professional and courteous manner. The role involves providing administrative assistance such as preparing documents, managing correspondence, maintaining records, scheduling appointments, and supporting various departments with clerical tasks. The assistant helps ensure smooth office operations by coordinating meeting rooms, handling mail, and maintaining office supplies. The role requires consistent, reliable presence at the office and a strong focus on service to internal teams and community members.

Qualifications

Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact respectfully and professionally with residents, visitors, and colleagues.
Proficiency in receptionist duties, including greeting guests, managing front desk operations, and handling inquiries in person and by phone.
Demonstrated phone etiquette, including clear communication, accurate message taking, and effective call routing.
Experience providing administrative assistance, such as document preparation, data entry, filing, and scheduling.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Comfort with common office software (e.g., Microsoft Office or equivalent) and office equipment.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with capacity to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
Previous experience in a municipal or public-sector environment is an asset.
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in office administration or a related field is considered an advantage.
