Summerhill Market is looking for a reliable and hardworking Bakery Production Worker to join our Bakery Production team. This is a hands-on role supporting the daily preparation, production, packaging, and organization of our bakery products.
The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced food production environment, takes pride in quality and consistency, and works well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
Assist with the daily preparation and production of bakery products
Portion, assemble, package, label, and prepare products for distribution to our store locations
Follow recipes, production sheets, portioning guidelines, and quality standards
Prepare ingredients and complete basic food-preparation tasks as required
Operate bakery and production equipment safely and according to training
Maintain clean and organized workstations throughout the shift
Follow food safety, sanitation, allergen, and workplace health and safety procedures
Properly store, rotate, date, and label ingredients and finished products
Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing ingredients and supplies
Monitor product quality and report any concerns to the Bakery leadership team
Complete production requirements accurately and efficiently
Support cleaning and sanitation of equipment, tools, work surfaces, and production areas
Work collaboratively with Bakery team members to meet daily production requirements
Perform other bakery and production duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
Previous bakery, kitchen, food production, manufacturing, or food-service experience is an asset
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
Ability to follow recipes, instructions, food-safety procedures, and production standards
Comfortable standing for extended periods and performing repetitive production tasks
Ability to lift and move ingredients, supplies, and finished products as required
Flexibility to work early mornings, weekdays, weekends, and holidays depending on production needs
