Job Description
Reporting to the Director, Security Awareness and Training, the incumbent will be coordinate along with senior members of the Security Awareness and Training team, the development, management and delivery of Sun Life’s Global Security Awareness and Training Program.
The Security Awareness and Training Coordinator must be a dynamic
individual with strong communication skills and a passion for creativity and learning. The role involves global coordination and collaboration, working with security teams to understand top security risks and trends while driving change through awareness. In collaboration with other members of the global security department, this position will assist in delivery of a broad set of activities, including writing publications, creating, and managing website content, facilitating marketing campaigns, scheduling meetings, creating timelines and infographics; and helping to plan outreach, awareness, and educational events.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing new or identifying existing security training, education, and awareness activities appropriate for Sun Life’s global audiences.
- Assist in developing and maintaining a security awareness program that effectively motivates desired behaviors, so Sun Life employees handle data and systems in a secure manner.
- Assist in collection of metrics that can effectively measure engagement, behaviors, and impact of Sun Life’s Security Awareness and Training program.
- Coordinate and collaborate with security technical experts as needed to augment or further develop security training, education, and awareness activities.
- Coordinate with external vendors and agency partners as needed to establish quotes, production schedules, delivery, and implementation of materials.
- Use creativity to accommodate multiple learning styles into awareness and training material
- Assist in facilitation of successful learning experiences
- Develop awareness content and campaign material
- Staying abreast of changing risks and threat across security landscape globally
- Applies a basic knowledge of security and risk mitigation principles, theories, and techniques in daily work.
- General understanding of Phishing Simulation Programs.
- Demonstrates understanding and use of basic project management methodologies, including the ability to plan and coordinate activities
- Crafts messages to match capability of the audience. (Ability to contextualize technical content for campus audiences may be better.)
- Practical knowledge of different message distribution techniques to ensure end user communities understand and continually apply the required behavior necessary to reduce the 'human factors' risk.
- Desire to learn and integrate new capabilities in digital technology, such as audio, video, social media, online communities, blogs, and other web-based technologies.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted for. The Base Pay which you will be considered for will vary depending on the Campus program you are selected for.
Eligible Sun Life employees for various Campus Graduate programs will also participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance
