Responsibilities
Transport patients safely and promptly to appointments and other hospital locations, assisting with lifting and positioning as needed. Handle specimens and patient-related deliveries, document transport details, maintain clean and safe equipment, and respond to assigned emergency codes.
Requirements
Successful completion of secondary school and proficiency with computer applications are required, along with at least one year of experience interacting with patients in a healthcare setting. Recent patient transport porter experience is preferred; candidates must also be able to meet the physical demands of the role and demonstrate communication, interpersonal, and infection-control knowledge.
