Responsibilities
Prepare surgical case carts for routine, specialized, and emergency procedures; operate decontamination and sterilization equipment; and prepare and package sterile instruments and supplies while meeting quality indicators. Deliver and pick up supplies.
Requirements
An approved Sterile Supply Processing Certificate and previous Technician II experience in a Medical Device Reprocessing Centre are required, with instrumentation experience essential. Broad knowledge of surgical services and complex instrumentation, case cart preparation proficiency, computer skills, strong organization, teamwork, and the ability to work independently and solve problems in a fast-paced environment are expected; operating room technical experience is preferred.
