The Position
As a Bilingual Group Sales Representative, you will generate new sales through excellent customer service, strong relationship-building, customer loyalty development, product knowledge, and sales skills. The role focuses on maximizing margins and maintaining the integrity of all reservations in the system.You will report to the Group Sales Supervisor and Group Sales Support Supervisor. This position will be based in Laval, Quebec.
Schedule: Full-time, 35 hours per week
Shift: Variable according to business needs
Hours of operation: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Work arrangement: Hybrid (remote and office work according to a set schedule)
Your Responsibilities

Develop and maintain relationships with assigned accounts to encourage repeat business.

Respond promptly to all communications.

Handle group inquiries and quote requests by phone and email.

Prepare quotes in accordance with commercial guidelines.

Perform cross-selling and upselling on every call.
-
Sell additional options, including group seating, Elite Plus, excursions, insurance, and other travel products.

Follow up on quotes and close sales.
-
Manage group files, contracts, invoices, and file maintenance.
-
Process payments and verify the accuracy of accounting information before submitting documents.

Reconcile files after receipt of final payment.

Inform groups of any schedule changes.

Maintain product knowledge and participate in ongoing training.

Answer telephone queues when required.

Provide exceptional customer service in both English and French.
Your Profile
-
Diploma in Tourism or Travel Management, or three (3) years of experience in the travel industry.

Bilingual in English and French, both written and spoken.
-
OPC (Quebec) or TICO (Ontario) certification*, or the ability to obtain certification as part of the employment requirements.

Excellent time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Strong customer service skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Good computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Strong sales and relationship-building skills.
-
Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team environment.

Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
*TICO/OPC Certification
TICO (Ontario) or OPC (Quebec) certification is considered an asset at the time of hire.
If you do not currently hold this certification, you will be required to obtain it as part of your employment. Fees are associated with the examination and certification process.
The company will cover the cost of the first examination attempt; any subsequent attempts will be at the employee’s expense.
