Who are we?

Svante is a rapidly growing clean energy technology company making commercial-scale carbon capture and removal a reality and enabling global industries to play offense in the fight against climate change that will accelerate the global transition to a lower-carbon economy.

The growing success of our company is owed to our commitment to our people, our emphasis on our values, and our innovative technology. Passion is put into what we do every day.

Purpose of the Role:

  • Advance Svante’s RCTSA process cycles through adsorption testing, process optimization, and experimental data analysis.
  • Develop and implement adsorbent screening, characterization methods, and process simulations to improve technology performance.
  • Apply chemical engineering fundamentals to generate process insights, achieve performance targets, and advance Svante’s carbon capture technology toward commercialization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in gas separation technologies, adsorption process development, process design, and data analysis.
  • Strong understanding of chemical engineering fundamentals, including thermodynamics, heat and mass transfer, and adsorption kinetics.
  • Experience with adsorption process modelling, simulation, and experimental data interpretation.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and reproducibility.

Bonus Skills and Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of solid adsorbents and Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) or Temperature Swing Adsorption (TSA) cycle development.
  • Experience translating laboratory characterization and process performance data into process models and actionable insights.
  • Experience supporting process scale-up, cross-functional engineering projects, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What Success looks like in this role:

  • Design, execute, and validate adsorption process and material characterization tests while ensuring accurate, reliable, and reproducible results.
  • Analyze experimental data and support process modelling, optimization, and scale-up activities to improve Svante’s RCTSA process cycles.
  • Collaborate with engineering, characterization, coating, bed-build, manufacturing, and project teams to implement validated processes and drive continuous improvement.
  • Prepare technical reports, communicate findings, and recommend process improvements that support technology performance targets and commercialization objectives.
