Original job description

Are you looking to apply your data science experience in a practical, production environment? Swim Recruiting is seeking a Data Scientist to drive the data operations behind one of the worlds most advanced industrial imaging systems. This is a great opportunity to join one of BCs success stories, who is now heading into their next phase of major growth.

Join a high-growth tech company at the forefront of industrial imaging, where your contributions directly shape how clients understand and manage assets at scale.
Work on complex, unstructured data - think terabytes of high-dimensional imagery and acoustic signals, not spreadsheets - alongside ML scientists who are building some of the most advanced computer vision systems in the industry.
Be part of a data science team that is central to business growth.

What & Why:

A fast-growing industrial technology company is looking for a mid-to-senior Data Scientist to join their growing team to drive data operations in a production environment. This role is not meant for someone with a purely research and academic background.

Who:

Our client is a Canadian-founded tech company that has built a proprietary platform disrupting how industrial operators assess the integrity of their critical infrastructure. Backed by one of the world's largest private equity firms, they operate at the crossroads of advanced physics, machine learning, and engineering.

The position is fully-on site in the Greater Vancouver area.

You:

You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience as a Data Scientist, with a clear track record of taking work to production
Computer vision experience is a major asset
Strong Python skills across data processing, computer vision pipelines, and visualization
Experience working with large, complex, and hierarchical datasets; comfortable outside of tabular data
Ability to communicate complex technical findings clearly to senior non-technical stakeholders, including VP and C-suite audiences
Familiarity with cloud data platforms

Compensation:

$100,000 to $150,000 + competitive incentive program.

Next Steps:

If the sound of this opportunity excites you, and you’re confident that it’s a good fit for your experience and career goals, then we’d love to hear from you! Please send your updated resume to us by applying to this posting and one of our awesome team of recruiters will be in touch.
