Role Overview
The Senior Solution Designer will provide senior-level technical leadership, solution architecture, and design guidance for the development and implementation of a modern online Registration and Permit Management System supporting both external/public users and internal staff.
The solution consists of:
- Microsoft
Dynamics CRM as the back-office platform supporting staff and
Registration/Permit business processes.
- MuleSoft
as the middleware and integration layer between the back-office solution
and external-facing applications and services.
- Java/React
as the technology stack for the public-facing online portal.
The Senior Solution Designer will be responsible for defining and maintaining the end-to-end solution design, with particular emphasis on Registration and Permit workflows, integration between the public portal and Microsoft Dynamics CRM through MuleSoft, application architecture, data flows, security, performance, scalability, and alignment with enterprise architecture and technology standards.
The position will work closely with business stakeholders, architects, developers, business analysts, product/project management, cybersecurity, infrastructure, testing, and vendor teams throughout the solution delivery lifecycle.
This is an onsite position, with the resource expected to work onsite Monday through Friday during standard working hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding lunch breaks.
Experience and Skill Set Requirements
Core Skills and Experience - 40%
- At
least 10 years of experience in the design, development, implementation,
and maintenance of large, complex Oracle Siebel, IBM Curam, Dynamics, or
other COTS CRM systems.
- At
least 10 years of experience in J2EE integration with systems such as
Oracle Siebel, IBM Curam, or other COTS systems.
- Demonstrated
experience and knowledge in delivering business architecture, business
analysis, and system analysis.
- Demonstrated
experience with and understanding of J2EE architecture.
Technical Skills and Experience - 35%
- Hands-on
experience with n-tier web-based applications, Unix, Shell Scripting, Ant
scripts, JavaScript, XML/XSD, XSL, HTML5, and source code management tools
such as Subversion or CVS.
- Experience
executing tasks involving XSLT, XQuery, XPath, and transformation
capabilities, including hands-on experience with Oxygen XSLT IDE or
another XSLT IDE for creating and debugging XSL.
- Experience
designing detailed functional and technical requirements for new and
existing business solutions.
- Working
knowledge of analyzing and designing changes to existing web-based
software solutions.
- Working
knowledge of SDLC methodologies such as Agile development.
