Job Purpose
The Finance Analyst is an entry-level role responsible for providing analytical, reporting, and financial modelling support to the Finance team. This role supports budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and the preparation of business insights that guide decision-making across the organization. The Finance Analyst will work closely with senior members of the Finance team, contributing to the development of financial models, reporting packages, and process improvements.
Duties and Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities (Finance Analyst)
Support the development, updating, and maintenance of financial models (revenue, cost, labour, and operational forecasts).
Conduct business case analysis for new and existing clients, supporting ROI assessments, value-opportunity modelling, and performance evaluations against client BAU.
Conduct and support client pricing through bottoms-up cost modelling, gross-margin and sensitivity analysis, and preparation of pricing for new deals, renewals, and RFPs.
Provide research and analytical support for board reporting, investor materials, leadership presentations, and other executive-level deliverables.
Support vendor management, including software contract onboarding and renewals, validating renewal figures, and tracking spend against budget.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or related field.
Experience
Certifications
CPA, CFA, or similar designation in progress or future interest considered an asset, but not expected at this level.
