Context
We are looking for a Project Quality Lead to provide site support, ensure compliance with quality requirements, and contribute to continuous improvement throughout the project.
Missions/Main Duties
- Attend the site regularly to verify the implementation of inspection and test plans and ensure the quality of work execution.
- Track quality KPIs, manage non-conformities, and oversee the implementation and monitoring of corrective actions.
- Perform supplier qualification and evaluation activities, including First Article Inspections (FAI), and prepare the corresponding reports.
- Define, plan, and carry out on-site quality audits, while delivering training to the relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare and maintain the project quality plan.
- Review subcontractors’ Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Contribute to the qualification and selection of subcontractors.
- Deliver training on project quality requirements.
Profile/Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or in a related field.
Years of experience: 5 to 10 years of experience in a project quality management role.
Technical Skills
- Proven experience in the railway sector, in a manufacturing plant or on a construction site, ideally involving locomotive projects, as well as in supplier quality.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and performing First Article Inspections (FAI), including the application of acceptance criteria and visual and dimensional inspections.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Excellent analytical and synthesis skills, with proficiency in problem-solving tools and methodologies such as Pareto, 5 Whys, 8D, and Ishikawa.
- Ability to produce follow-up reports with photographic documentation and to use digital site tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in both French and English*
